Magazine

A quarterly print magazine about coffee, and the people and places around it. Long-form writing, original photography, considered design—made to be kept on a shelf, not scrolled past.

Coffee

Every issue of Standart arrives with a freshly roasted specialty coffee from a world-class roaster, so you can read about coffee with a cup of it in your hand. No other magazine does this.

Community App

A global readership you can reach from your phone. Recommendations, conversation, and the occasional good argument about co-fermented coffee.

Frequently Asked Questions

General

Do you ship globally?

Yes—Standart ships to over 100 countries. Shipping is included in your membership price.

How long will it take to get my orders?

Europe: 1 to 2 weeks. North America: 2 to 3 weeks. Rest of the world: 2 to 4 weeks.

What do I get with my membership?

Standart To Go is digital: the archive on our website, the community app, and invitations to Standart events. Standart To Stay adds the print magazine every quarter and a coffee sample from a different roaster, shipped free. Standart To Share is To Stay for cafés, plus a display stand and a listing on our website.

How much does membership cost?

Standart To Go is $60 a year. Standart To Stay and Standart To Share are both $130 a year, with shipping included wherever you are. All prices are in US dollars.

Can I try before I join?

Yes. The trial gives you the current issue and its coffee for the cost of shipping. We take your card details when you order, and six weeks later the trial becomes a full Standart To Stay membership at $130 a year. Cancel before then from your profile and you won't be charged.

How do I cancel my membership?

Anytime, right from your profile. No need to contact us. But if you do have any questions, please feel free to reach out to team Standart at office@standartmag.com.

What's in the digital archive right now?

The last five issues are on the site, and we're adding the rest over the coming months. To Go and To Stay both include everything that's there as it grows.

Which issue do I start with?

Your membership starts with the current issue — Standart 43, Summer 2026, with Imbachi Reserve from Doubleshot.

For cafés

Do I have to display Standart in my café?

Yes. To Share exists so your regulars can read it, and the listing on our website tells readers where Standart can be found. We ask you to confirm you'll make the current issue available before we list you.

Why does a café pay the same as a reader?

Because a café pays what a reader pays. The listing isn't something you buy — it follows from holding a membership and making Standart available. That's what separates our list from the ones you can pay to appear in.

How does the listing work?

Once you've joined and confirmed you'll display the issue, we add your café to the list of places where Standart can be found. It says where the magazine is—it isn't a ranking or a review, and it can't be bought.

I want more than one copy per quarter.

To Share includes one copy each quarter, which is what most cafés keep on the counter. If you want extra copies for customers to purchase, or you run more than one location, write to us at office@standartmag.com.

Is membership per café or per business?

Per location, because the listing says where Standart can actually be read. If you run several cafés, write to us and we'll sort it out.

Can I get a company invoice?

Yes. A PDF invoice is sent to you after your purchase. If you're a VAT-registered business elsewhere in the EU, add your VAT ID at checkout and VAT won't be charged on the order. Businesses in Slovakia are charged Slovak VAT as normal.
